Description
This juice really packs a flavour punch with a little bit of everything from sweet to tangy and the pineapple flavour dancing off the tongue. A perfect way to start any morning :) Pineapples go well with both sweet and savoury flavours. Carrot and oranges is a perfect combination to go with pineapple juice. Go for pineapples that feel heavy, with firm skin and a sweet smell. Avoid any with wilted leaves or soft spots.
Juicy Benefits
Pineapple has been used as a folk remedy for centuries for a variety of ailments, particularly digestive problems.
Modern research indicates that bromelain, a group of sulphur containing protein digesting enzymes, may be responsible for many of pineapple’s reputed health benefits. The enzymes and vitamin C in Pineapple, with added Oranges, also helps suppress coughs and loosens the mucus that often accompanies colds. Juicing pineapple in a cold press juicer keeps more enzyme activity alive and best of all is the enzymes won’t be used up digesting food.Carrots are not just for bunnies :p … they contain alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, gamma-carotene, lutein, lycopene, xanthophyll’s and zeaxanthin. Carotenoids in general possess life extension properties that protect us from the toxic effects of free radicals.
